Elgin Automatic Vintage Wristwatch Ref: 4846

Here is a cool and stylish Elgin automatic watch, likely from the late 50's or early 60's. 

The Elgin 925 signed A. Schild movement inside has been fully serviced and adjusted and is keeping excellent time with 280 degrees of amplitude. 

Unique for it's era, this watch features a display case back showing off the A. Schild 1862 automatic movement, complete with Elgin branded oscillating rotor.

The watch case does show signs of wear but is in overall good condition.

Please note that the dial does state RA Swiss RA implying it contains radium. It measures extremely low on a geiger counter, likely as the dial radium application is only small dots above 12, 3, 6, and 9. The hands do not register, indicating they may be replacements or re-lumed with another luminous material. No radium burning is observed on the dial. The age of this watch is not obvious, as it is in quite good shape!
